Hacker Philosophy - DEFCON 30!

Hey what’s up!

This past week I got to share some Hacker Philosophy with the Adversary Village at DEFCON 30, and I have to say it was a humbling experience.

I have a slide that is a quote from Seneca the Younger, with the main point being that I am talking to myself, working out my thoughts and ideas with myself, and using the audience as a pretext to do so.

What I did not expect was the amount of engagement during the presentation, people taking pictures of slides, the constant “aha!” moments I saw out in the crowd. It was truly amazing.

The talk wasn’t recorded, so I will do that when I get back home and release it out.

What I did do this weekend however, based on numerous requests, was to make infographics about the key points of the presentation. I am also uploading the presentation itself for everyone to have, if they desire it.
